I have forgotten my sweetheart name.....

Too good not to share.....

An elderly lady was invited to an old friends home for dinner one evening. She was impressed by the way her lady friend preceded every request to her husband with endearing terms such as: Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.

While the husband was in the living room, her lady friend leaned over to her hostess to say, 'I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your husband all those loving names.'

The elderly lady hung her head, 'I have to tell you the truth,' she said, 'His name slipped my mind about 10 years ago, and I'm scared to death to ask the cranky old fart what his name is.'

Me.. Oh My God! I have been calling all my lady friends as dear, honey, darling and sweetheart, and possibly I could have also forgotten their names.

How to win your boss heart?

Lately my youngest son got a new job, which he thought was going to be challenging and great. However after working for a month, he realised he is working with a very unreasonable manager. The boss is only a few years older than him, hot temper, arrogance and a lousy listener. Unhappy over him, my son is intending to look for another job again.

My advices to my child....
An intelligent boss speaks with authority and demanding. He could be prideful, easily agitated, arrogance and might not listen when suggestion is offered. While a smarter boss speaks with calmness and is less demanding. Instead he motivates and inspires his staffs. He is humble, opened minded and is more tolerance.

What about an intelligent employee? Quite the same. With the same authority minded character, he might not listen to his boss. Sometime he might even challenge his own boss there, causing more conflict,  misunderstanding and argument. While a smarter employee would listen patiently and to understand his boss intention. His replies are normally positive and pleasant to hear. A smart worker won't challenge his immediate boss but rather be obedient and obliging to him. He would attempt all ways to touch the boss heart and build the confidence in his mind.

Son! Your boss is an intelligent person. Are you smart to outwit him with your smartness and intelligence?
I'm sure you can because you are my son.

Sore throat cures....

Robin was down with a high fever due to a bad sore throat. Though he was on medication, he still could not recover. Over the phone I could hear his uncomfortable voice, he was suffering for the past few days. I told him I have a remedy for sore throat, which was taught to me by my late mother when I was a little child.

I advised him to drink hot water. Yes! Boiling hot but sip it slowing as not to burn the tongue. Drink as much as possible until the late night. The hot water can clear the infected throat. He could be on medication, but without enough water in his system, the recovery could be slow. It works well for me since young.

Robin took my suggestion. To drink eight glasses of water at one time is difficult but if you drink it hot, eight or more glasses is much easier. Yes! He drank more than eight that day. And the next day, he was back to normal when the fever and sore throat disappeared. See! The traditional remedy works too! Sometime I wonder why doctors don't suggest this remedy for simple sickness like a sore throat. If they do... They might be out of business in no time.

A forgiving heart.....

A Corporate lady friend seek my advices. She claimed that she is always sleepy and tired, though she sleeps and rests a lot. And she is only in her early forties.

I told her... A happy heart always sees a beautiful world but when your heart isn't happy, everything is ugly in front of you. When a person has hatred, the heart won't be happy. When you are a hot temper person, you have fewer friends and the heart won't be happy. When you tend to be an arrogant person, most people might avoid you, and the heart won't be happy too. All these create negative emotion, make you more stressful and suck your energy without you even realising it. Yes the lady might not need to work very hard physically but the stressful mind took the heavy burden on her. She gets tired easily for not doing much on her work.

My advices... Set free your thought. Lower your expectation in everything you see. Hold no grudges on others. See the good side of life. Avoid all negative thoughts. Be forgiving and willing to give rather than to receive. Be humorous and laugh as much as you can. Smile even when you are angry. Have fun in your work. These behaviours could possibly add more love into your heart. And when your heart has love, your mind would definitely feel lighter. You will be more lively and I'm sure you will see a beautiful world in front of you.

We wanted to try out sex and ended up pregnant...

Last night I was invited to a friend's wedding dinner. Not him getting marry but rather was his young son who is only 17. The father had no time to send to all his guests the official invitation cards. I was invited through the phone only two weeks ago, and the dinner was on a Monday evening. Normally all wedding dinners are conducted on weekends and the invitation cards are posted two or three months earlier. To have a weekend's wedding dinner, the hosts have to place the restaurant booking in advance. Normally couples would plan a year ahead, trying to get the best hotels or restaurants in town for such occasions. Is also a manner to let guests know of their marriages by posting the cards much earlier ahead.

I was caught in such a short span of time and Monday was also a heavy day to attend function. But being that the host is my good friend, I had to accept his kind invitation for his nite. Out of curiosity I asked him why the rush! With hesitation he said... "Accident lah!" Without going further, I knew what was the real meaning behind. And I'm sure you too. Right? The bride and groom are both only seventeen. What a age to get marry. Believe me this is happening right in our country. Only few days back I read this story in our local news. Please feel free to read on.....

MALACCA: Sixteen-year-old teenage mum Salina (not her real name) who had sex with her neighbour wasn't even aware that she was pregnant after an intimate session at a secondary jungle in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan, last year.

Salina said she and the boy had planned to go to a fast-food restaurant but ended up in the jungle “to try out sex”

& ldquo;I never knew that one could get pregnant on her first time, but I was wrong. Now, I am expecting a baby,” she said yesterday.

Salina said she regretted her action.

& ldquo;I admit that I was partly to be blamed,” she said.

& ldquo; My urge to try out sex made me coerce my friend into taking us somewhere secluded to do it.”

She said it was also the reason why she stopped her family from lodging a police report against the boy.

& ldquo; He has promised to marry me once I reach the right age,” she said, adding that her family too wanted her to keep the child.

Another teenager said she got pregnant “accidentally” after watching a pornographic video with a classmate.

& ldquo; We ended up copying the act,” she said.

The 17-year-old said she and her friend had gone to stall for a drink when the boy showed her the video clip.

& ldquo;Soon after, we left to a find a suitable place to do it,” she said.

& ldquo; We did it in an unusual place under a staircase of a flat.”

She quit school when she learned that she was pregnant. “I am now waiting for my friend to marry me once we are capable of managing a family.”

Are you a giver???

Are you are a taker or a giver? A good way to identify yourself is... Over meals and drinks with friends, how often would you pay for the bills?

There are those who thought they are smart by avoiding paying. These are the ones who are selfish, cunning and often take advantage of others. They hide themselves when billing comes. They assume nothing has happened and they often enough expect friends to spend on them.

Next you have those who pretend to pay, yelling loudly, "I Pay! I Pay! Let me pay!" Only the voice could be heard but there is no action with his hand. You don't see him pulling out his wallet. A good actor but a lousy friend.

A Gunslinger is one who could pull his wallet faster than his friends. He pays faster without a second thought.   Some who aren't Gunslinger would quietly pay the bills while excusing himself to the wash room. An experienced entertainer might even in advance deposit some heavy cash with the cashier before the meals.

Ever since I was young, I have learned to pay for all meals and drinks with those who sat together with me. Pay willingly without any intention or purposes, pay joyfully and happily and most important pay without any pain from the heart. I believe by being a sincere giver, he would be blessed more.

From The Bible ... "It is more blessed to give than to receive" -- Acts 20:35
"God loves a cheerful giver" -- 2 Corinthians 9:7

Thank you teachers.

To get good employees to work in our country isn't easy. Many young graduates cannot speak well and cannot write efficiently. Their personal drive and confident level are low. Many of my clients' children who have high degrees or even carried a Master could not gain employment in the corporate world. A daughter with Honour in her studies was jobless for three years, had recently took up teaching. Many like her who became teacher out of no choices. They had never wanted to be a teacher in the first place. The simple reason is, teaching isn't a honourable profession to these young people. Plus low income, while the corporate world pays much higher with more benefits.

Now I wonder.. would a teacher who isn't really interested in teaching be made a good teacher eventually! I always believe a good teacher will bring out good students. In our childhood days, all teachers were highly respected everywhere. They loved their profession and they gave the best to educate us. They taught us like we were their children. Their endless effort wasn't just the monetary gain but rather to see us to excel well in our later life. If it wasn't  my teachers who guided and assisted me, I won't have what I'm today.

It's so sad to have lost those types of committed teacher, but I still hope and pray that we can bring them back here again. Perhaps it's time that our country has to do something for this teaching career. Give teachers more glory and pride, and pay them well. A progressive Nation is one which have good teachers to  teach good students.
