Pain relief... THE AMAZING HAIR DRYER,,,,,

Something worth sharing. It works well for me and you should read them too.....

Not long ago a friend took her ten-year-old boy to my house looking for my wife, saying that her child had hiccups all day long. The child was very uncomfortable and unable to eat at all. After she checked, my wife said there was a muscle spasm in his diaphragm. Without hesitation, she took out a blow dryer, turned on the power and started blowing at the boy's stomach. About 10 minutes later, the boy burped and felt relieved. We were surprised that this thing can do the trick. But my wife just smiled.

A few days later, I had a stiff neck when I woke up in the morning. I could hardly turn my head. I recalled my stiff neck problem was treated a few times by acupuncture and cupping when I was younger. I asked my wife for the similar treatment. She said there weren't any needles at home nor any suitable small jars for cupping. She just took out a hair dryer. I couldn't help laughing. Again? This thing can cure stiff neck too?

Amazing! She blew on my shoulders and my neck for about 15 minutes.

My neck was really loosened up. I could turn my head now. Later in the evening, she repeated that on me once more. The pain in my neck was significantly reduced. I crowned her the "queen of blow drying".

She explained that this was inspired by the method people used in the old days. In hospitals, with all the modern equipment we have, doctors do not need blow dryers.

But back in the old days, in rural villages especially, doctors were poorly equipped with medical supplies. So they came up with other means to treat patients with common pains.

Suddenly I realized this is the thermal effect on pains with the heat generated by a blow dryer. Modern physiotherapy equipment such as electric, laser, thermal, ultrasound and others can easily generate heat for effective treatment. They are, of course, more powerful than a blow dryer.

However, WHEN THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE, using a blow dryer to generate heat will also work, temporarily at least, on common pains such as back pain, muscle spasm, stiff neck, leg cramps, etc.

It is readily accessible and easy to operate as long as there is electricity.

The blow dryer is really amazing.

A comment from a good friend Capt. Azhar, after he had read this article....
"The moral of the story is that we need a good blow job once in a while. He...he... have a pleasant day. God bless".

The more you spend, the more you earn....

Over a breakfast at a nearby coffee shop, I was observing a table seated with nine young people. There were four males and five females. I could sense they must be office colleagues taking their breakfast together. I was curious who was going to pay the bills. Each of them ordered their drinks and food individually. Later when the waitress came, she had to collect the cash individually too. I see! They went the Dutch Style, meaning each of them paid what they had ordered. No free meal for the ladies.

If I had been there and a friend to them, I will never allow them to pay. I always like to pay for my friend's meals, and I feel honour to do it. You can say that is generous of me! It had been my habits ever since I was a boy, I always attempted to be the payer for most outings with my friends. Perhaps some of them could be taking advantage on me, but I never bother about those little bills if I could afford them.

Today I realised some facts of life. The least you spend the lesser one could earn. While those who are kind  to spend for others, or willing spender, eventually they earn more than those who are miser or reluctant spenders. The principle is... The more you spend, the more you earn.

This happened during the last Xmas in Shanghai. A common friend CY invited my son and his wife for a Xmas eve's dinner at a Six Stars Hotel down town. The price per head was 2000 local currency. My son told CY he had many relatives who were visiting him from overseas and might not be convenient to attend the expensive dinner. Instead CY invited all my son's relatives for that function and paid for all their entertainment. He was definitely very generous to pay for guests he didn't even know. Tell you what! CY is a self made billionaire who started with nothing. Out of his kindness and being a generous man, he became successful and wealthy. The principle works... The more you spend, The more you could earn. Believe or not! Is up to you!!!

Food for thought - "Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, "What's in it for me?" -- Brian Tracy quotes.

Birds have instinct...

My house has a wonderful bird's nest, I call it as Bird's Lounge. Not build by me but specially made by birds themselves. It is right in front of our front doorway where we have some potted green plants as decor.  Any one who comes in, would definitely see this natural lounge.

This nest has been here for many many years, really can't remember when these beautiful birds have became my relatives. They come in a pair, make love, lay two eggs, hatch them until they turn chicks, and they would fly away when their young can be independence. About a week or so, new couple would come again to make home in this same nest again. At first I thought they were from the same species, until lately I realised their size and colour are different. So! It looks like my lounge here is meant for multi nationalities without discrimination.

The question is; why pick only my house? All my neighbours have attractive home frontage with a bigger garden, whereas my house seems simple and non noticeable. With my many years of observing and even talking with them, I think I know the answer. Birds have instinct. They could sense and see who is kind and friendly. They have better insight than man, when they could almost see our mind and heart. They might be at far over the trees and hills, they could see and understand human's behaviour and character. When I talked to them without a reply from them, I know they could also understand my gesture and language. As long as I'm not a threat to them, I have a chance to befriend them. The smiles and greeting I offer them, touches their heart too. Yes! Today they have accepted me as their kind. And I believe they have also blessed me in many ways. My house is always a warm house for everyone who has no place to stay. And those who live in my house are always healthy and cheerful. Thank you my birdie friends. Please come again.

Food for thought - “How do geese know when to fly to the sun? Who tells them the seasons? How do we, humans know when it is time to move on? As with the migrant birds, so surely with us, there is a voice within if only we would listen to it, that tells us certainly when to go forth into the unknown.” - Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Quotes.

Getting old could be a nuisance..... Unless!

Getting old could be a nuisance!!! Try to avoid it at all cost.

I have few old relatives and friends, in their sixties and above who face the following problems. They do nothing, eat a lot, sleep too much in the day and cause too much noise in the late night and early morning, and nag all the time in the house. Being retired, they have no work and have found no hobby. So the best way is to waste time by eating. The person who suffer could be the wife herself because she has to feed the old husband who always complained that he is hungry. After eating too much, the ideal way is to take short naps in between. They sleep early in the night but they get up too early in the morning. One old couple wake up at 3am, having nothing to do, they make noise to create attention. Non of their children like them to stay with them. One daughter in law said, "If you don't take your parents away tomorrow, I would leave the home!" See! No joke and it's true. With a poor hearing and a failing sight, they cannot control their patience and easily get upset and irritated most of the time. They only can talk about the past and they know nothing of the current because they have no desire to learn. Their children do not like to spend too much time with them because they said their parents nag and talk without any sense and logic.

So sad to see them living under such situation. To me! I will try to avoid being a nuisance to my children. My philosophy is 'Getting Old is mandatory but Growing Up is optional'. Never have the thought to retire. Even if you don't have a career or a job, pick a hobby or create an interest which could keep you occupy most of the time. Growing up is challenging, when you should constantly prepare to learn and explore. When one is learning, the mind would expand which in turn keep us more alert and creative. Don't stop driving your car because driving keep us young and mobile. Eating is good but don't skip the exercise. Why sleep during the day, when you have the whole night for you later. I love sleeping and I need eight hours to restore my system. Sleeping time is 12 mid nite till eight in the morning when I don't disturb others. And that is also the best time to make love too. I don't nag my children but rather I motivate and inspire them. They are always amazed with my  knowledge and wisdom because I add plenty of humour and joke into my sharing with them.

Am I a nuisance to my family? Not at all! I make sure they love me till the end.

Food for thought - "Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul" ~ Samuel Ullman

Do you have the right partner... On bed.

Tan is a sixty years old senior veteran who runs regularly everyday. He could run for one and a half hour with speed without stopping. Definitely he has the stamina.

Being naughty I asked Tan, "You are damn good on this treadmill machine. But are you as fast and strong on bed running my friend?"

He wasn't shy to reply, "Bad. Lack the speed and stamina on bed!"

Quick to respond to him, "Do you know why?"

Tan said, "Perhaps is my age. I'm olady past sixty now".

"Not true!", I proclaimed. Directly I told him, "You pick a wrong partner on bed! You run well here because you have the right machine to team up with. If you had got right partner on bed, I'm sure you could run better."

Tan smiled broadly, "Yes! Yes! Yes!"

P.S. You might say I'm playful, but that's the facts of life, applicable to everyone of us. We need the right partner in everything we do. Right readers?

A Well-Argued Court Case.......

The beauty of a language and the art of constructing the words of the language significantly lead to their meaning. This is not a case of twisting, but of the refined manner of presentation by witty minds. A good case for reference.

One evening, after attending the theatre, two gentlemen were walking down the avenue when they observed a rather well dressed and attractive young lady walking ahead of them. One of them turned to the other and remarked, "I'd give $250 to spend the night with that woman."

Much to their surprise, the young lady overheard their remark, turned around, and replied, "I'll take you up on that offer."

She had a neat appearance and a pleasant voice, so after bidding his companion good night, the man accompanied the young lady to her apartment.

The following morning, as he prepared to leave, the man gave her $125. She demanded the rest of the money, stating, "If you don't give me the other

$125 I'll sue you for it." He laughed, saying "I'd like to see you get it on these grounds."

Within a few days, he was surprised when he received a summons ordering his presence in court as a defendant in a lawsuit.

He hurried to his lawyer and explained the details of the case.

His lawyer said, "She can't possibly get a judgement against you on such grounds, but it will be interesting to see how her case will be presented."

After the usual preliminaries, the lady's Lawyer addressed the court as follows: "Your honour, my client, this lady, is the owner of a piece of property, a garden spot, surrounded by a profuse growth of shrubbery, which property she agreed to rent to the defendant for a specified length of time for the sum of $250. The defendant took possession of the property, used it extensively for the purposes for which it was rented, but upon evacuating the premises, he paid only $125, one-half of the amount agreed upon. The rent was not excessive, since it is restricted property, and we ask judgment be granted against the defendant to assure payment of the balance." The defendant's Lawyer was not only surprised but also impressed and amused by the way his opponent had presented the case. Naturally, his defense was somewhat different from the way he originally planned to present it. He rose to the occasion!

'Your honor," he said, "My client agrees that the lady has a fine piece of property, that he did rent such property for a time, and a degree of pleasure was derived from the transaction. However, my client found a well on the property around which he placed his own stones, sunk a shaft, and erected a pump, all labor performed personally by him. We claim these improvements to the property were sufficient to offset the unpaid amount, and that the plaintiff was adequately compensated for the rental of said property. We, therefore, ask that judgement not be granted."

The young lady's lawyer answered, "Your honor, my client agrees that the defendant did find a well on her property. However, had the defendant not known that the well existed, he would never have rented the property. Also, upon evacuating the premises, the defendant removed the stones, pulled out the shaft, and took the pump with him. In doing so, he not only dragged the equipment through the shrubbery, but left the hole much larger than it was prior to his occupancy, making the property much less desirable to others.

We, therefore, ask that judgment be granted."

In the Judge's decision, he provided for two options: "Pay the balance $125 to the plaintiff, or have the equipment detached from its current location and provide it to the plaintiff for damages." The defendant wrote out a check immediately. . . ! ! ! .

When you argue, don't let your hearts get distant!!!

Something worth reading....

Ever wonder why we shout when we are angry?

This story* is one of the best explanations ever come across. Enjoy!!!

A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take a bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other.¨He turned to his disciples, smiled and asked, 'Why do people shout in anger at each other?'¨His disciples thought for a while and one of them said, 'Because when we lose our calm we shout.'

'But why should you shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Can you just as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner?

When some of the answers did not satisfied the others the saint finally explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either non existent or very small.¨The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.

He looked at his disciples and said, 'So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant. Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.'
