Seeing an imperfect person as perfect.

There was this simple man who knew another simple lady. They started as friend and gradually they fell in love. He was almost a perfect man for every female to love. His personality was presentable, successful in his career, humble in nature, caring and always live for others. On the hand, the lady he loved was different. She was arrogant, hot temper, impatience and rude at times. However this gentleman still loved his lady whole heartily. One day the lady asked him, "Dear, with so many of my defects and bad behaviour, tell me why do you still love me so much." His reply was, "To love you truthfully, I appreciate the good part of you but I never see the bad as a hindrance. Because you are always important to me forever."

What Sam Keen spoken was true; "Love isn't finding a perfect person. It's seeing an imperfect person perfectly." If only we can understand this simple phrase of life, this world will be more of a pleasant place to live.

Words sell and heal.

Dr Loh was happy to see me coming to the gym to workout with him. He started the session by greeting me, "How are you Robert." With a broad smile I replied him, "Nothing is happier to see this doctor around. Your muscular body always gives me inspiration to work harder like you." He was quick to respond, "Similarly your interesting words also motivate me all the time."

Dr Loh was right, words are important in our life. If spoken in a positive manner, they will excite and inspire those who listen. I told him that as I am a professional salesperson, my words are very important in my work. My clients bought because my words sell. My words created hopes, promises and belief. I asked him, "Dr, do you add words to your medical practice?" He was not sure. I think doctors should not only practise as medical doctor but also as faith healer at the same times. Although faith healers do not apply medical value in their healing, they are also successful in their profession. The main reason is because they spoke with strong belief with their mind. Those who seek their healing, strongly believe the spoken words of faith. If only doctors could spend a little more time with their patients using encouragement with words, patients would definitely feel better, rather then just applying with medicine and treatment alone. I was glad Dr Loh took my advices finally. Words not only sell but words heal the sick too.

Who is the most important person to you?

Mazlan called me in the early morning, "Robert, how are you?" I replied him, "I feel nice, especially having such a wonderful friend like you calling me now." He laughed, "Hahaha! Its a joy talking to you. You always know how to make others feel happy." Without hesitation, I continued, "God bless me to have intelligent friends calling me all the time. More so the one who is talking to me now." He was amazed with my instant and natural response. He asked, "U are certainly a unique person. Please tell me how u can always make me feel important."

Making a person feel important has to be a habit. I had been doing it for the past 40 years. When I was twenty years young, I was lucky to have attended a Dale Carnegie Motivational class. Those days in our country, self motivational training classes were hardly available. By chance, I was introduced to their preview which impressed me tremendously. Without further consideration, I enrolled and completed the 10 weeks intensive training which later changed my entire personality.

One of the session when we were asked, "Who is the most important person in our lives at the moment?" Everyone gave different person, like father, sister, wife or husband. I told them, my mother was the most important person. Surprisingly our instructor told us, the most important person will be the one who is standing in front of you. Our loved one could be important to us. However as long as they are not with us now, then any one, immaterial whether he or she is our friend, we have to treat that particular person as important. Treat him or her as though that person is the one we love the most. If we could practise this way of life, miracle would happen. As I was very young then, when I could not really understand the real purposes of this training, nonetheless I followed the rules given. Without me realising, the rules turned and developed me with good habits and character. Gradually I could see the admiration benefited and at the same times, I understood the value of mankind. Everyone on earth needs to be treated as important. The maid or the waiter or worker is equally important. We prefer to be given compliments and appreciation. We are hungry for love and attention.

With the above explanation, I was glad that Mazlan was totally convinced. He promised that he would apply this principle of life to everyone he meets from now onwards. I forgotten to tell him these. Please take away the selfishness in us but rather add the sincerity into our heart and mind, when we apply the important to others.

Try this statement; "Treat everyone as special. Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnite. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster and do it with no reward. Your life will never be the same again."

What type of insurance u need?

A good friend, Hamid sent over this joke....

Four insurance companies in competition. One comes up with slogan, 'Coverage from cradle to coffin'. Second one improves, 'Coverage from womb to tomb'. The third comes up, 'From sperm to worm'. Fourth finally came up with, 'From erection to resurrection'. Always buy insurance for everything.

Hamid, you do have the sense of humour. Thats why you won't grow old like the rest. However do remember, "Buy life insurance when u don't need it, coz when you need it, u can't buy."

Touching someone's heart.

A lady friend sent me a text message. "Let me share this beautiful text: I asked God, 'how do I get the best out of life?' God answered: ' face your past without regret, handle your present with confidence, prepare for the future without fear.' Then HE added, 'keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and never doubt your beliefs. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.' ...Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present. Remember the Power of God! God bless."

I was impressed with her thoughtfulness. Immediately I replied, "I have to keep this message coz is from an attractive and intelligent lady."
She replied, "Do u say this to everyone or only to me dear."
Me; "I only speak to the one who is attractive and intelligent. More so like the one who is reading this message."
She; "Thanks sweetheart it boosts my ego."
Me; "U are always attractive and intelligent to me wherever you are. I have implanted your name permanently in my heart. U are more than a dear to me. Muuuursch!"
She; "U are an angel. Thanks."
Me; "Angel needs another angel too. Right?"
She; "Absolutely."
Me; "Please add 100% on your word."
She; "Added. Ok."
Me; "How come we both think alike?"
She; "Great minds."
Me; "We have knowledge refined with wisdom. Congra to you again."
She; "Same to you. Have to go for supper. Ok good night sweetheart."
Me; "Sweet dream. Hope to meet you at dreamworld."

Moral of this short messaging; thoughtfulness, compliments and sense of humour can make many happy and cheerful. It can touch your heart!

The Five Senses I will never forget;
Touch someone's heart whenever you can.
Taste all that life has to offer.
Smell the roses.
Hear the nice things that others have to say.
See the beauty inside everyone.................and you will never fail in life.

Do u know whether your client is telling u the truth?

A good and efficient police officer can identify whether a criminal is telling the truth. By intense interrogation and special interview, he can feel and sense with instinct the mind of his criminal. Similarly a competent lawyer has communication technique to extract truthful information from the witness stands. They merely asked questions with replies of either the 'yes' or a 'no' to gain the necessary feed back. The 'yes' or 'no' can denote the pitch of vocal sound. Sometimes the 'yes' can be denoted as a 'no' or vice verse. An intelligent police officer and lawyer with the relevant experiences can detect whether the rightful parties are actually a liar or not. Their special skill helps to solve their cases faster.

To be a professional salesperson, it's recommended to acquire this interrogation technique of asking the proper questions to gain the thought of our prospective clients. If a prospect said 'No' to you for not buying your products, you should be able to sense whether that was an actual 'No' or rather is a 'Yes' instead. Many sales were lost because the salesperson could not differentiate the right or a wrong buy. If you intent to pursuit a professional sales career, take the initiative to learn the communication skills from a police or a lawyer friend for further advancement. You will be surprised how gradually you can understand the world doesn't speak the truth all the time.

Quote of the day, "The truth will never be known, unless you know how to ask."

With trust we built our confident to sell.

Most life insurance agents failed in their career is because they have no prospect to approach. They can't be depending on their friends or the limited client base to have more repeat sales. Getting new referrers or leads from existing clients isn't easy either. Unless they have proven their creditability and success to them.

I faced the same fate like them before. However I was lucky that I could stay for these twenty five years, and still successfully continuing selling to many new faces currently. Through these two decades of working, I have built quite many clients who are loyal and faithful to me. Due to my hard work, determination, responsibility, aggressiveness, knowledgeable, honesty, integrity and sense of humour, today I have earned my trust from them. For many years, I had not been prospecting or asking for referrers from my clients. They just continue to recommend their leads to me from time to time. Insisting that I should see their friends. They are proud of my achievement and commitment. They are the one who is promoting my name, when I should be the one who is doing it.

Like today, while I was driving in town, I was called twice by one gentleman and a lady who were anxious to meet me. They were approached by other insurance agents who wanting to sell them, creating the thought to purchase insurance plans. However before they commit to something serious on a long term planning, their friends who happened to be my clients suggested that they should listen to my wisdom first. True enough, these two person who spoke to me on the phone could sense and feel the different of my personality even they had not seen me yet. Judging by their voice, I too could feel that they had already trusted me prior to our meeting soon. My friends could have promoted my image and reputation, but I still need to show my personal confident in communicating with them. From these two calls, I could understand why the earlier agents failed to conclude the sales; they did not have the personal touch and they lacked the personal confident in their doing.
