Appreciation from a client

I was reading my Sunday morning news when this sms message came from Abdul Rahim.

It was written; " You are many times over '..a friend in need is a friend indeed..' cos you ANTICIPATES AHEAD what others' needs - a genuine professional insurance man. My wife just did her 6th kidney stone blasting. TQ to U."
This what I called Miracles of Insurance that I am experiencing now and many to come.
I have known Abdul Rahim since 1994. A self consultant of pleasant nature married with a happy family. We started as agent and client relationship but through the many years, we have developed a very closed type of friendship. We don't talk business but rather we amused ourselves with laughter and encouragement. I have been listening and have been understanding him and his family. I know their needs and wants in life. The last few years, he had taken my sincere advises, when he had taken the appropriate and relevant insurance covers of minimum cost that he could pay.

Life is always uncertain and sicknesses can strike at any moment, be it whether you are young or old. More so, medical cost in our country is rising tremendously high. Abuses are rampant and scary to believe.

Read today Star to believe; " Is the doctor in? The private health-care business has become so commercialised that even businessmen are setting up clinics to reap profits."

I am glad Abdul Rahim had taken my advise. His family should be well taken care by us. We have created a piece of mind for you, when you could fully concentrate your consultancy and life.

We promise, we would continue to "Always Listen & Always To Understand."

Life is a destiny

Yesterday was a day I would never forget. There was a long lost classmate whom we had lost touch for 43 years. Immediately when we finished our secondary school, all school mates went their way to seek their lives. Some pursuit their studies further if they were lucky, while most of us had to get employment at a tender age of 18 or 19 to support our parents.

It was by chance, I was given the hand phone number of this friend, Henry Tan who took time with his family to come down from Singapore to meet me at Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur. We had spoken on the phone and had communicated through the email before we met. On that exciting afternoon, I was too anxious to see him because I wanted to know whether we could be able to recognise each other. Surprisingly we could because he remained as youthful as a boy whom I could identified on the spot. We hugged and yelled like kids at that moment. A moment of the lost 43 years of growing different.

We never talked much 43 years ago, although we were with the same class for two years. But that afternoon, we chatted for hours without realising it. Even his wife and 3 daughters had to excuse us by moving away to let us have some privacy.

Today when we looked back, we could see how we had utilized our time and how we had progressed. Henry strongly believed that life is a destiny and we have to make the best out of it because we have only one life to live. He had done well with courage. He started young in life working as a class 3 clerk with The Government TNB when at that time was called as LLN.

He drew a tight salary of only RM250 per month and it would be insufficient to help his parents. With his determination and hard work, he continued to self study until he got his MBA. After working with the government for 22 years, he was offered an irresistible offer to work in Singapore with the corporate sector. According to him, opportunity comes only once in a life time. He scarified his 22 years government job plus benefits and took the venture to step foot in Singapore. There was no turning point ever since then. From rank and file, he rose from a mere executive to his present as a General Manager of this International Corporation. I considered this as truly an achievement. Henry, you have done well and I have to take my hat off for you.

Yes, our life is a destiny; "Smooth roads never make good drivers. Smooth sea never makes good sailors. Clear skies never make good pilots. Be strong enough to accept the challenges of life. Don't ask life, 'Why me?' Instead say, 'Try me?' Henry, you had definitely tried and you are wonderfully a refined person and well-balanced in every way. Congratulation!

How to satisfy woman?

Some naughty humour to share:

To satisfy a woman:
Care!
Praise!
Pamper!
Humour!
Cuddle!
Hug!
Kiss!
Phone!
Smooch!
Charm!
Embrace!
Tease!
Tickle!
Love her!

To satisfy a man:
Just appear NAKED!

So easy to satisfy man and yet woman still complain!!

Too much money can be sorrowful

My poem posted on 23th March, "Money" depicted as too much money can be sorrowful in life is true after all. Too much money can blind a person. Money gives you power and makes you a miser. Miser leads to misery, lonesome and frustration. Read on to find out.

Hong Kong: With speculation high over who will inherit the US4bil (RM 14bil) estate of late Hong Kong tycoon Nina Wang, new tales emerged yesterday about the unusual private life of Asia's richest woman.

Tales of nights spend with her pet money and legendary meanness - including an interview with a maid who said she never received a pay rise in 14 years of service - stood out from the intense media coverage of her death.

It reported that the childless Wang, who was known for wearing free clothes made by friends and dining out only at fast-food restaurants, had set up a trust fund to help keep the company going.

Even more shocking: Mina, her Filipino said that Wang was so lonely after Teddy's disappearance, she took in a pet monkey - and sometimes slept in the same bed with it.

I can't imagine a lady so rich and yet had to live in such misery. May be she did not know and understood the wisdom of life; "The answer to true happiness living - is loving and giving. For only love can make man kind. And kindness of heart brings Peace of Mind."

"The happiest people don't have everything. They simply utilize all the potential in what life has to offer." "Even with a small bank account the one who is contented finds himself with great wealth." Like you and me!

Men are lagging these days!

I was surprised my recent subject, "Man & Woman" drew much attention. I received many comments through my email but I wish my readers could write their comments on this blog site, where others could read them too. Except Ling2 who wrote some interesting comments. Thank you Ling2.

Specially for Ling2 who seemed not so happy with my sentence, "ladies don't be too smart either" written on Title posted as "Men afraid to marry 'clever' women"; Ling2 you are totally right as you wrote, "men are definitely lagging behind these days."

In fact, all educational centres and universities have more female students than males nowadays. 25 years ago, the insurance company where I worked had only a handful of lady insurance agents then. Today, half of our agencies force are ladies and the top 5 producers are all females. I cannot doubt you at all for men to be lagging these days.

If you could have read my title, "Men & women need each other," posted on 30th March, you would have understood deeper into this interesting subject.

Without man in this world, women tend to look less attractive. With men around, women look more prettier and sexier. As we know, men can never live without women proven by the fact Adam the first man on earth could not live without. The charm and beauty from women create a desire for men. This desirable feeling is considered as a kind of love and affection. Without this love and affection, there would be no bonding between man & woman. There would be no marriage and without marriage, there is no family. Just imagine when people don't have intention to build home and have children; would there be future for the world.

Without the creation of Eve, Adam alone could never be able to make the world of today with 6billion people. Because he was lonely, God created a partner of the opposite sex for him. Eve was there to appease him when lives began after that.

When I said,"Ladies don't be too smart either because without man around, the world would be less colourless and as bright as of today." We both equally need each other to stay happy and be wonderful in this world.

A joke here: "By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher."

Give appreciation not criticism

Specially to some of my closed friends who always like to criticizing and complaining in their day to day lives. Hopefully these few meaningful words and phrases would change and enlighten them.

"Each of us has our own unique flaws. It's these flaws we have, that makes life so very interesting and rewarding. It binds our lives together. Instead of looking for flaws; we have to accept people for what they are and look the good in them."

After all nobody is perfect, including ourselves. The minute you start to point your fingers to someone, there are three fingers pointing backward to ourselves. Remember that!
If you criticize and complain, without you realising, you create hatred and anger within your mind and thought. On the hand, if you offer appreciation and compliments, you have love and acceptance within yourself. The funny part of lives, most people like to spot weaknesses of others rather than appreciating the good in them. The somebody could be 90% good but the minute he is known to have a 10% bad, everyone would take the opportunity to cry over it. What a shame of human life.

"If you look for Good, you'll find Good. If you look for bad, you'll find Bad. In life, you always find what you look for. Only thing that matters is...what you choose to see."

Men afraid to marry 'cleverer" women

Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun took a swipe at Malaysian men who preferred to marry foreigners.

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry parliamentary secretary said many Malaysian men were marrying foreign, especially mail order brides, because local women were getting more knowledgeable than them.

She dared the men to either be brave enough to marry women who were more knowledgeable than them or become better educated.

"The problem will not be solved if the men are not brave enough to marry women who are more knowledgeable than them." said in reply to a question by Datuk Baharum Mohamed.

Chew denied that Malaysian men married foreign wives because Malaysian women did not want to get married.

"A lot of women in their 30s are not married because they can't find a man who can fulfill their needs and fits their criteria," she said.

To a question by Fong Po Kuan, Chew said the ministry was aware of agents supplying foreign women especially from China and Russia as mail order brides.

News from the Star.

See! What I said was true: "Men can't live without women but women can live without men", posted in March for further reading.

Just today, I had a casual chat with Bong, a fellow Prudential colleagues, when we talked about this hidden issue among men and women. To prove my claim, I told him about these facts of life how men need women till the day we died. As brothers and sisters, we need the tender love of our mother to care for us when we were young. When the brothers as men grew older and be dying, they preferred female nurses to care and clean for them rather than a male nurse to do it. Right? The sisters who are females could also get sick when they are older. Women would always insist another female to attend and care for them. They would definitely be ashamed and uncomfortable to be cleaned by another man. Logically shows that men need women but women might not need man.

Can't blame the men because when the first Man on earth, Adam who could not live without woman, what makes us men today can. Also by creation, as Eve was a woman who was braver and more curious in instinctive nature ate the forbidden fruit first.

Women would always be braver, stronger and smarter, especially if they are given the opportunity to gain knowledge from the present world. Gentlemen, I am sorry! Man had slackened a lot through the course of time unless we bug up. But ladies, don't be too smart either because without men, the world would be less colourless to you as well. Read my previous title under "Man & Woman Need Each Other" posted in March and you might agree.

Anyway whatever happen, let's all be happy for "Happiness is an inner state of well being. A state of well being enables you to profit from your highest: thoughts, wisdom, intelligence, common sense, emotions, health, and spiritual value in your life."
