I like sleeping.

Most older folks used to say, as they grow older they tend to sleep lesser. They sleep early in the night and get up before dawn. They only need to sleep less than five hours. Definitely not me! I love sleeping and i need to sleep at least eight hours a day. Usually i sleep after writing my blog at midnight and please don't disturb me until the next morning at eight. Perhaps i am still a growing child who requires to sleep more than seven hours. Otherwise i would not be a happy person on the day.

I have a friend Lee who claims that sleeping is a waste of time. Sleeping is unproductive he said. He spends every minute a day doing something useful. When everybody in his house is asleep, he would still be working at something. He usually sleeps at 2am and gets up at 4am. I wonder how the two hours of sleep is sufficient for him. Believe or not, he is still in tip top condition at age of 57 currently. One person who doesn't enjoy sleeping.

I had also read articles which confirmed that there are few living males in the world who don't need to sleep at all. Sleeping is never in their mind. Their bodies are built in such a way that they could survive as normal people without rest. In order to pass the day, all of them have three different employments to occupy themselves. Thanks God I am not one of them.

Come this morning i will be going to the airport soon. I have booked a flight to Bangkok where i intend to stay for about four nights. Purpose is to relax and sleep as much as possible before coming home. You think i am stupid? No!!!! Sleeping allows one to recharge and distress ourselves. Perhaps this is one reason i am still young and healthy.

Consider this - “I divide my time as follows: half the time I sleep, the other half I dream. I never dream when I sleep, for that would be a pity, for sleeping is the highest accomplishment of genius.” - Soren Kierkegaard quotes
