Scolding is bad.

Can scolding solved problems? No and never. I think it makes things worst. When i was a much younger father those days, i made silly mistakes teaching my growing sons. Whenever my children had done some wrongs, the first action would be to scold and yell at them. Not realising they were so afraid at my sight, that later they began to hide the truth from me. They knew if dad would know about their wrong doing, either intentional or unintentional, i would raise my voice to punish them. It took me a long time to learn my errors and unpleasant habits, and by the time i learned, my children had already grown up in their lives. Luckily all my children understood and had forgiven the inexperienced father, today we live happily like brotherhood.

Not only children should not be scolded unnecessary, the adult should also be treated the same. My secretary who had been working with me for eighteen years, always tells the truth to me. Nobody is perfect in this world. One might try to work at her level best but sometimes we tend to make mistakes too. Whenever i knew my secretary had made some wrongs, i normally corrected her with advices and suggestion. Even if the mistakes could be serious, i tried not to raise my angry face to her. I expect her to be frank and tell the truth, so that we could correct the mistakes as early as possible. To get things done, i have to be smart..I rather be angry in my mind unseen. Otherwise how could i have my secretary to work for me this long.

Ah! Another person you can't scold as well. Especially our girlfriends, wives or lovers. My little darling never hide anything against me because she knows i will never scold her if she is at wrong. On the other hand, she has not learned to be smart like me as not to scold at others. I am sure, she might not even know the truth wasn't told to her. She has to learn the hard way!

Specially for the ladies -"Four things drive a man out of his house: too much smoke, a dripping roof, filthy air and a scolding wife"

I wish not acquiesce in on it. I think precise post. Especially the title attracted me to read the intact story.

It’s been long time since the post was published Mr.Robert. I’m Bangladeshi and my religion is Muslim, living in Singapore. I’m 22 years old and at the last stage of my student life, studying business management in advanced diploma. I get scolded mostly because of unintentional mistakes by everyone (including my family). I feel very much alone as if no one loves me. The reasons will always be related to the tasks where I have difficulties and just because of wrong, I unfairly get abused.
