Get me an eligible bachelor.

I was reading those Chinese New Year greeting cards which my friends had sent. Instead of sending another card to them, this year i replied all my friends with text messages specially written.

Of the many sms sent out, this particular one strikes me most and was to a lady friend. I wrote, "Hi! My dear received your beautiful CNY card. While reading your words, i could see your handwriting & signature, you are a friendly & an approachable person. For more reading and assessment, you have to buy me lunch. Haha!!!"

Shortly she replied, "Hi Robert! Buy you lunch can. I certainly want to know more. So do you have any eligible bachelor for me?"

I was surprised with her last question. This lady friend is in her late forties, having a good secretary job and have been with a boyfriend for almost 18 years. She didn't sound happy to me. Quickly i sent another sms to test her reaction. I said, "There is no such eligible bachelor on Planet Earth. All men are equally naughty, including me too my dear."

Sure enough! She wasn't happy, "In that case i better apply a job on board the Norwegian Cruise. At least can meet eligible bachelor."

With her last message, i could sense she has broken her relationship with her long time partner. I feel so sad for her. A beautiful girl with a good job and yet find it so difficult to fall for a right eligible man. So! My yesterday posting was right after all. I said, "A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife."

Hi Robert,
Just managed to get time to read your posting today.
Well...i actually didn't understand your quote yesterday.
Probably i was too busy and did not really take some time to understand it...
Now that i read it for the second time, i understand what you meant.
True enough....
Take care and let me wish you early... Have a Great CNY...
Will you be spending CNY in Shanghai again this year?

Hi Wan,

Sometime when our mind pondered too much, our concentration might not be there. Or perhaps i didn't write well enough for my readers to understand. So sorry!!!

I have another three little grand tee tees in Singapore with their father & mum to disturb this time. Would be driving down next week.

Would be nice to shake your hand to say Happy Chinese New Year. Touch is always better than reading in words. Right?
