1928 Rolls-Royce Picadilly P1 Roadster - My Love

Are you the faithful one? Willing to love me till the end? Promise, you won't leave me even i have grown old? Keep me fresh and beautiful? I bet not many men out there could honour these promises. There was one gentleman who could and i like to introduce him to you.

Mr. Allen Swift of Springfield, MA, received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Picadilly P1 Roadster from his father, brand new, as a graduation gift in 1928. He drove it up until his death last year at age 102. He was the oldest living owner of a car from new. Just thought you'd like to see it. He donated it to a Springfield museum after his death. It has 170,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. Just thought you'd find this of interest...

Food for thought - “She's beautiful, and therefore to be woo'd. She is a woman, therefore to be won” - William Shakespeare quotes

I might not be as lucky & great as Allen Swift, but i seldom throw away old vases and memories.
