Selling tips...
You are being approached by a life insurance agent who does a good presentation. However you have no money to purchase the needed cover. Are you going to be frank to reveal your poor financial standing? Your successful and wealthy personality looks impressive to the attending agent. Or perhaps you tell white lies or the untruthful reasons for not buying. These are the usual reasons; i like to discuss with my spouse first, wish to compare with others, the premium is too high, the benefits are unattractive, the repayment term is too long, the returns are unattractive or i let you know. Actually the real reason is, you have no money at the moment.
The above situation could happen to anyone of us in our daily life. In most selling approaches, the prospective customers always not telling the real truth for not buying, especially when they do not want to reveal their cash flow problem. If you are a professional salesperson who could identify the exact reasoning for not buying of your prospects, selling would be much easier in the long run.
Selling is a skill and an art. It takes years to develop and to master. As far as i am concerned, i would never open my mouth for a sale from prospective clients, until i am convinced they are happy in heart and have the peace of mind. These combination carries confidence and ability of a person, which deter the financial strength outwardly. Otherwise my duty is to help them to overcome their financial weaknesses first. I offer motivation and inspiration to the deserving contacts who in turn might excel in life later. Though i could not close a sale immediately, these new friends became acquaintances who might be my future clients. Conclusion: if you can't sell him, help him.
