Darn to speak loud with confidence.

Many young friends and colleagues of mine claimed that they are brave, courageous and confidence. I doubt so! I asked them whether they darn to speak aloud these simple words, "Yahoooo! I am great and feeling wonderful!" Looks easy...Right?

Next! I took them to the nearest Starbucks for a nice cup of coffee. I challenged them to speak, preferable to yell or shout on top of their voice, inside the restaurant those few interesting words. No one took the draw. Okay I said! I would be the first one to do it. I stood up, face upward and i threw my voice to the peak...."Yahooooooooooooo!!!! I am great & feeling wonderful!" Of course raising both my arms at the same time to show i was the winner.

These young friends were shocked and extremely amazed. The entire crowd inside the restaurant were staring at me with curiosity, wondering what happened. I just looked back at them, smiled and said Sorry.

I told my friends, this is confidence and braveness. If you are shy, scared and timid, you would never be able to do it. Or perhaps you live for the sake of others and not darn to show the truth of yourself. Selling needs courage. Unless you have these fearless heart, selling would be much easier and fruitful. I suggested to my young friends to practice yelling and shouting in their own bathroom first. Once you have developed the confidence of speaking aloud, you would naturally overcome the fear in public speaking. Sound funny but it works.

Food for thought - "Speak loud and clear, with head up. This will tell our emotions and mind not to be a mutterer and not to be afraid of the consequences" ~ Vernon Howard ~
