Hat of convenience......

What hat do you wear? I mean what type of personality do you carry yourself. Some have more than one. Outside you are an angel to everyone but at home you are like a devil.

I remember when I was young, married with children still in school, I took life very seriously. At work, I would not joke and laugh and all my colleagues were scared of me. My boss liked my character then, a serious employee is a committed and responsible worker. In functions and parties nobody darned to challenge me for a drink because I never like drinking. My words and thoughts were firm and friends found it difficult to change my perception and thinking. In the house, all my children were afraid of me because I never played fun with them either. To avoid my presence whenever I reached home, they would be hiding in their own bedroom, pretending to be studying. Yes! I was wearing one hat of the same personality of myself. No smile and no joke, except the seriousness in me.

Later in life when I took up selling life insurance, I began to change because the career allows me to learn and to relearn all about life. I was seeing many people and families, everyone of them was different in behaviour and in character. I saw the educated and professional classes whom I thought were polished in manner but it was the not so educated and unprofessional classes who taught me the language of kindness. The rich might have the wealth and success but the poor have the heart of richness. What hat do I wear now? Yes! Today I wear the Hat Of Convenience.

The Hat of convenience is one you could change. Don't just always carry one hat. Have many hats to keep. I have the hat of respect to make people like me. The hat of trust which people believe in us. The hat of humour and fun, when everyone smiles at you. The hat of responsibility and honesty which add all values in ourselves. Thanks a million to my career, today I have many Hats to convenient my interaction with the world. Certainly I make myself a better rounded person.

Food for thought -
“It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.”

Roughly motivational place of duty you give rise to at this juncture. Seems to facilitate lots of relations enjoyed and benefited from it. Cheers and credit.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Mr Robert, dont have too many hats! One day you may just grab the wrong one! One hat will do plus a good honest heart.
