Are you alone or lonely?

Ah!! Today is Sunday again. Are you alone, nothing to do but reading my blog...hoping something interesting that might make you laugh for the rest of the day! I will try!!!

Recently I got a chance to communicate with Ah Fai who is a pure Malay but has a Chinese name. He is also one of my colleague, selling life insurance, much younger than me and belum khawin lagi (Not married yet). I like him because he is a fun man who jokes creatively. Surprisingly through him, I managed to gather some wisdom ideas while talking with him on the hand phone.

RF: "Ah Fai, how come you are so free today? Alone is alright but when you are lonely...that's not good for a young man like you!"

Fai: "Hihi!! Even James Bond sometimes is lost. Interesting question. Alone and lonely are two different things."

RF: "Please tell me the differences."

Fai: "When a man is alone, they can do many things but when a man is lonely....they would not do anything...hati sudah kosong, mau mati mati..(heart is empty, feel like dying). Hihi!!"

RF: "What about for a lady then? I am sure you know. Try!"

Fai: "When a lady is alone, they won't think much, find short cut to get what they want. When they are lonely, depression will come. Hihi."

RF: "Wow! U are damn creative! U are very good! Impressive!"

Fai: "Based on my observation, male and female characters are opposite to each other. That's why they should be together as they are not of the same sex. Eg; nuts & bolts match and can be fixed together. But not nuts & nuts or bolts & bolts...nanti jadi nut ( otherwise can turn nut ). Everything in this world is created in & woman, moon & star, earth & sun, land & sea, even boobs got pair no syok maa (no pair no thrill).

Alone and lonely are truly two different things. You can be alone for today but try not to be lonely all the time. Go out! Make someone happy. If you are a man, be nice to the ladies or if you are a lady just smiles to any man...he will be nice to you.

Hi,dear naughter brother, some people said writers are normally very lonely. If not lonely, where got things to write ? I wonder how far it is true .
Your playful sister.

Hi Lipstick...

I am glad I found a playful sister here. I think writers are not lonely, they are alone most of the time. If they are lonesome, they might have no heart and the desire to write.

I am not a writer who earns for a living for writing. I am a blogger who writes to share my experiences. While blogging I gain my passion and happiness as well. A wisdom blogger has to have a rounded life...otherwise he has nothing to write. If you don't believe me, you can try. Blogging for a short while is easy, blogging and writing everyday needs the love to write. I write most of the time in the late night alone...but difinitely I am not lonely. My blogging has led me to know friends all over the world.

Even a lost playful sister could be traced from my site here. Thank you for reading my blog and asking this intelligent question.

Hi Lipstick...

As long as we are living on earth, human has to have problems. The only time, there is no problem, is when death completes our journey of life. Thanks for coming back again.

A reference from the Wisdom of OSHO's Tarot Card.

"The Discipline of Transcendence, Volume 1 Chapter 2"

When you are alone you are not alone, you are simply lonely - and there is a tremendous difference between loneliness and aloneness. When you are lonely you are thinking of the other, you are missing the other.

Loneliness is a negative state. You are feeling that it would have been better if the other were there - your friend, your wife, your mother, your beloved, your husband. It would have been good if the other were there, but the other is not. Loneliness is absence of the other.

Aloneness is the presence of oneself. Aloneness is very positive. It is a presence, overflowing presence. You are so full of presence that you can fill the whole universe with your presence and there is no need for anybody.

When there is no "significant other" in our lives we can either be lonely, or enjoy the freedom that solitude brings. When we find no support among others for our deeply felt truths, we can either feel isolated and bitter, or celebrate the fact that our vision is strong enough even to survive the powerful human need for the approval of family, friends or colleagues.

If you are facing such a situation now, be aware of how you are choosing to view your "aloneness" and take responsibility for the choice you have made.
The humble figure in this card glows with a light that emanates from within. One of Gautam Buddha's most significant contributions to the spiritual life of humankind was to insist to his disciples, "Be a light unto yourself." Ultimately, each of us must develop within ourselves the capacity to make our way through the darkness without any companions, maps or guide.
